The Selwyn Public Library is seeking a Librarian for an seven month contract, who will assist with the day-to-day operation of the municipal Library Service, and who will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Bridgenorth library branch location.  A detailed job description is available.

The successful candidate requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills, flexibility, the ability to adapt, and must act professionally in providing service to the public and as a representative of the municipality. 

The individual will be expected to manage and oversee a dedicated group of volunteers, while using initiative and good judgment ensuring that their assigned library system areas of responsibility and branch duties are completed with competence and professionalism.  A proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously is a must.

The ideal candidate will have a Library Technician diploma from a recognized teaching facility with one year related experience in library services or an acceptable combination of relevant education and work related experience.  Candidates with strong communication skills and a proven ability to provide excellent services in a public library setting will be preferred.

The salary range for this position is $23.77 - $28.51 per hour based on a 30 hour work week.
