The Township of Selwyn is seeking applications for the seasonal position of Lakefield Marina Dock Attendant, to assist with the daily operations and maintenance of the Lakefield Marina. 

The ideal candidate will have at a minimum one year’s experience in a primarily customer service role. Candidates must have the proven ability to handle cash, debit and credit card payments. A valid class “G” drivers’ license and good swimming skills are required. Candidates with lifesaving training and/or certification and current CPR and/or First Aid certification will be preferred. Candidates will be required to obtain a Food Safety Training Certificate if they haven’t already successfully completed a course.

Applicants with knowledge of the Trent-Severn Waterway and the boating / marina industry will be preferred. The individual will be expected to work as a member of a small team, while using initiative and good judgment in carrying out the duties of the position. The person must demonstrate initiative and possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

The person requires superior interpersonal skills and customer focus and must act professionally in providing service to the public and as a representative of the municipality.

The rate of pay for this position is $15.77/hour. This position will require candidates to be available for weekend and evening work.
