He is deeply involved with the Ontario Genealogical Society, edited NewsLeaf (the Society’s newsletter) for seven years, was on the OGS Board for two years, was Executive Director 2005 - 2011, and is currently deeply involved with TONI (The Ontario Name Index). He has been on the Council of the Kawartha Branch of the OGS for more than a decade.
His current major genealogical interest is in the early settlers of Dummer Township. He has for nearly six years contributed a monthly article on those early settlers to a local newspaper.

All the workshops will be on Mondays at 1 PM in the Optimist Hall
