Selwyn Business Reopening Program
The Township of Selwyn, along with its partner Community Futures Peterborough offered the Selwyn Business Reopening Program. The Business Reopening Program provided a grant of up to $2,500 to eligible businesses located within Selwyn Township to help fund COVID-19 related urgent/additional expenses, such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), plexi-glass and other business adaptation equipment, signage, etc.
In an effort to stay abreast of the needs of local businesses, eligible expenses Phase 2 of the program was expanded to include items such as professional cleaning services to respond to an outbreak/close COVID contact and equipment necessary to extend the business season (ie. portable heaters, tents, etc.). Applications were submitted directly to Community Futures Peterborough; and all funds were distributed before the program ended on March 31, 2021.
The Township of Selwyn in partnership with Community Futures Peterborough was pleased to distribute $250,000 to assist 133 businesses through the Business Reopening Program.
