Beginning November 15, 2024, Canada Post's unionized workers initiated a labour disruption. During this period, please review the following notices to help maintain continuity of service:
Lakefield Water and Sewer, Tax and other Bills and Payments
You are responsible for paying your bill on time, even if you do not receive your bill in the mail.
- To find out your balance owing, login to your Virtual Town Hall account, email info@selwyntownship.ca or call 705-292-9507.
- Do not put your bill payment in the mail. Instead, use other payment options such as:
- at your financial institutions (you must pay before the due date to use this option)
- on-line banking (through your bank or financial institution’s on-line portal)
- in person at any Municipal Office (please note credit cards are not accepted)
- drop box at any Municipal Office
- Online credit card payments – service charges apply

To avoid billing interruptions in the future, we encourage you to sign up for:
- Paperless billing through Virtual Town Hall - a safe, secure and free online tool that allows you to receive your bills online
- Pre-authorized payments - applications continue to be accepted and will be set up for 2025. Applications can be found online: Property tax or Water and Sewer bill (Lakefield Only) or through your Virtual Town Hall account.
