Notice of Intention to Pass an Amending By-law
to Remove a Holding Symbol

Key Map of 1575 Chemong RoadTake notice that the Corporation of the Township of Selwyn is providing this notice of intention to remove a Holding (h) Symbol as prescribed in Section 36(4) of the Planning Act, R.S.O., as amended, for lands described as Part of Lot 5, Concession WCR in the Smith Ward having the municipal address of 1575 Chemong Road.

Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Selwyn intends to pass the amending by-law on February 27, 2024 during its regular Council Meeting commencing at 1:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 1310 Centre Line, Smith Ward, under Section 36 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, as amended.

The proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment will remove the Holding (H) symbol from the Highway Commercial Exception 423 Holding (C1-423(H)) Zone that was placed on the subject lands with the passage of By-law No. 2021-016. The Holding (H) symbol attached to the lands is only to be removed subsequent to property owner submitting certain reports and entering into a site plan agreement. The property owner has now submitted the required reports and entered into a site plan agreement to the satisfaction of the Township of Selwyn.

A copy of the Planner’s report and other relevant information will be posted on the Township’s website (www.selwyntownship.ca) the week of the Council Meeting.
