Donations & Bequests

Choosing to leave a gift to Selwyn Public Library in your will provides you an opportunity to make a lasting contribution to your community. It also allows you to create a deeply meaningful legacy to be shared by Selwyn community members for generations to come.

By far the most common form of legacy gifts, you can name Selwyn Public Library as a beneficiary in your will. With prior planning, your will can both provide for your loved ones and help the library prosper. Options for a gift in a will (bequest) include leaving a particular sum of money, a specific asset such as property, or a certain percentage of your estate.

Through this program, donors can plan gifts to provide resources that may be deferred - i.e., planned for completion at a future date.
