BEL Rotary's Polar Plunge Goes Virtual!

Given the challenges over the past year, BEL Rotary will be holding the "Pandemic Plunge" from February 1 to 7, 2021.

The tradition of the BEL Rotary Polar Plunge will continue, but with a twist. With respect to Peterborough Public Health regulations and with concern for the health and safety of all, we will not be gathering by the shores of Chemong Lake. Plungers will “plunge, frolic or splash” in a kiddie pool in their own yard, make a snow angel or pour a bucket of ice water over themselves in an attempt to emulate the Polar Plunge. Take a video and send it to BEL Rotary to be included on their social media platforms.

The theme is “The Pandemic Polar Plunge” and the goal is to have fun in the face of the pandemic and raise money for your favorite charity and the work of BEL Rotary. As in other years it will be a 50/50 split.

Details

  • All registration and pledges will be done online through the BEL Rotary Plunge website
  • Groups will have until February 1, 2021 to register.
