Free Shuttle Service to Local Events!

The Link rural transit service, is making it easier than ever to attend the Lakefield Jazz, Art & Craft Festival, the Lakefield Literary Festival, and the Curve Lake Pow Wow with free shuttle services.

For all three events, keep an eye out for the yellow Hamilton Bus Line school bus featuring The Link logo.

This initiative provides a stress-free and eco-friendly way to enjoy Selwyn Township’s vibrant line-up of festivals and events. So mark your calendars, hop on board, and let The Link take you there!

From 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, the Lakefield Jazz, Art & Craft Festival shuttle bus will run approximately every 15 minutes, stopping at designated Link bus stops throughout the Village of Lakefield. Look for the festival signs at these stops to enjoy a free ride to and from this popular celebration of music, art, and craftsmanship. 

Shuttle stops are located at:

• Bridge Street at Clementi Street (both northeast and southwest corners of intersection)
• Water Street at Queen Street
• Water Street at Savage Arms
• Concession Street at SGS
• Concession Street at Reid Street
• Lakefield Jazz, Art & Craft Festival grounds

Free parking is available at:

• NAPA Auto Parts (15 Nicholls Street, Lakefield); and
• Across from SGS Canada (156 Concession Street, Lakefield).

The following Saturday, July 19, The Link will extend its free service to attendees of the Lakefield Literary Festival. The shuttle will circulate between Trent University and event locations Cenotaph Park and Lakefield College School, providing convenient transportation from 9:15 AM to 9:00 PM.

Shuttle stops are located at: 

• Trent University Lot P (Woodland Drive and West Bank Drive)
• Water Street (across from Cenotaph Park)
• Lakefield College School

Parking is available at Trent University Lot P at a reduced flat rate of $2.00 and provides up to 10 hours of parking. Please use the QR code below to access the reduced rate. 

Celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Curve Lake Pow Wow with free shuttle service on both Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21. The Link bus will operate from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, making stops at Trent University, the Curve Lake Pow Wow Grounds, and designated Link stops in between.
