The Finance Department manages municipal taxation, all aspects of Township accounting services, and coordination of technological support across Township departments..

The Finance department distributes finance and taxation information to Council and the general public and is responsible for reporting financial benchmarks and performance measurements.

Through sound financial management, Selwyn Township has consistently maintained one of the lowest municipal property tax rate in the County of Peterborough.


Please note that the fee for processing NSF ("non-sufficient funds") cheques is $25.00 and this amount should be added to any replacement cheque total.

Accounts Payable

Vendors and Service Providers - if you would like to submit your invoices electronically, please send them to finance@selwyntownship.ca.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) - if you would like to receive payment through EFT, please complete and return the Accounts Payable: Vendor Direct Payment (Electronic Funds Transfer) Application.

Payments are issued on, or closest to, the 15th and 31st of each month - pending Management approval.
