Total Burn Ban in Effect!
Due to increased fire risk from dry weather and high temperatures, the Selwyn Fire Department has issued a Total Burn Ban, effective immediately until further notice. All burn permits are now void.
Prohibited:
• Yard waste and brush burning
• Campfires and bonfires
• Outdoor fireplaces, fire pits and chimineas
• Agricultural burns
• Fireworks
Burning conditions can change at any time. Residents must verify the current conditions prior to burning. To do this, please call the Fire Department at 705-292-7282 or check Facebook.

A full lawn watering ban is now in effect.
Lakefield residents are asked to please also limit all non-essential water use until further notice.
