Non-Eligible Sources (NES)

Effective January 1, 2026, as mandated by the Province of Ontario, curbside recycling collection will no longer be provided for Non-Eligible Sources (NES), which include:  

• Businesses (retail, grocery, offices, food service, restaurants, gas bars, marinas)
• Places of Worship (church, synagogue, mosque, temple, community centre within a church)
• Municipal Buildings (library, community centres, arenas, municipal offices, shelters)
• Daycares (within a church, within a school, in home, stand alone)
• Charities (not-for-profit, charity events)
• Commercial farms (farm operation, barn, office)
• Campground/trailer park without seasonal residents

Note: Please contact the facilities directly for hours of operation and to confirm fees.

Note: NES recycling CANNOT be taken to the Smith Landfill Recycling Depot. To maintain compliance, the Township must keep residential recycling separate from NES.

Collection Services for NES

NES may arrange bin rentals and pick-up services individually or in partnership with others.
