Half Load Restrictions

Half-load restrictions in the Township of Selwyn will begin Sunday, March 1, 2026.

To protect our road network during the spring thaw, half-load restrictions are implemented annually beginning March 1, in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act. These measures help prevent road damage when municipal roads are most vulnerable to heavy vehicle traffic. 

During this period, vehicles are limited to a maximum of 5 tonnes per axle, and truck and commercial transport access may be restricted in affected areas. 

Restrictions remain in effect until April 30, 2026, unless otherwise announced.

Marshland Centre

The Marshland Centre is located between the Lakefield Campground and Lakefield Beach and features plenty of natural light, cathedral ceilings and beautiful lake and park views. The hall includes a full kitchen and is the perfect space to host any of your small social gatherings or business meetings.

Amenities include: air conditioning, kitchen, parking, projector screen, sound system, tables/chairs, Township operated bar, wheelchair accessible.
