Free Seniors Skating Returns to Selwyn Township Thanks to Community Sponsors
The Township of Selwyn is pleased to announce the return of free Seniors Skating at the Ennismore Community Centre and the Lakefield-Smith Community Centre for the 2026-27 skating season, made possible through the generous support of local sponsors.
Swish Maintenance and Blue Diamond Window Cleaning are teaming up once again to sponsor Seniors Skating in Ennismore, while Hendren Funeral Homes - a Division of Opus Tribute Group, is supporting the program in Lakefield.
Thanks to the continued generosity of these community sponsors, residents aged 55 and over can enjoy free public skating sessions throughout the season, providing an opportunity to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy the many benefits of recreational skating.
Seniors Skating sessions are available at the following locations:
- Ennismore Community Centre: Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
- Lakefield-Smith Community Centre: Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., excluding holidays.
The program offers a welcoming environment for older adults to maintain an active lifestyle, enjoy time with friends, and connect with others in the community.
