Lakefield Campground Now Accepting 2026 Bookings

The Township of Selwyn is pleased to announce that bookings are now open for the 2026 camping season at the Lakefield Campground.

Following the Township’s transition to in-house management of the campground in November 2025, staff have been preparing for the upcoming season and are excited to welcome campers back. Transient tent and trailer campsites are now available for reservation through the Let’s Camp online booking system.

Located along the Otonabee River in the Village of Lakefield, the Lakefield Campground offers 220 serviced and unserviced campsites for both tent and trailer camping. Visitors can enjoy a range of amenities including beach access, canoe and kayak rentals, an accessible canoe and kayak launch, walking and cycling trail connections, a playground, and a seasonal concession.

“The Lakefield Campground is an important part of Selwyn Township’s tourism and recreation offerings,” said Mayor Sherry Senis. “We’re excited to welcome campers for the 2026 season and showcase everything our community and waterfront have to offer.”

“Our team has been working hard to prepare the campground for a great season,” added Mike Richardson, Manager of Recreation Services. “With waterfront access and close proximity to the Village of Lakefield, it’s a convenient and welcoming destination for both new and returning campers.”

Campers are encouraged to book early, particularly for peak summer weekends.
