Orange Heat Warning in Effect!
Environment Canada has issued an orange heat warning due to the extremely high temperatures expected over the next few days.
Please take precautions to stay safe:
- Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water
- Avoid outdoor activities during peak heat (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Never leave people or pets in parked vehicles
- Wear loose, light clothing and sunscreen
- Check on vulnerable friends, family, and neighbours
Cooling/heat relief locations are available:
- Marshland Centre (64 Hague Boulevard, Lakefield)
- Wednesday, July 1 through Friday, July 3, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Selwyn Township public beaches
- Selwyn Public Library branches in Bridgenorth, Ennismore and Lakefield (visit the Selwyn Public Library website for hours of operation)
