Employment Opportunities

The Township is seeking a Facilities Operator who will operate and maintain equipment and perform general maintenance functions within the Township’s recreational facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 education or equivalent with three years of related experience. A Basic Refrigeration Certificate is required and an ORFA Certified Ice Technician (C.I.T.) designation or equivalent, is preferred. Candidates must hold a valid class “G” license and propane handling certification.

This person will be expected to work in conjunction with other staff, representing the Township to the Facility patrons and general public, using initiative and good judgement in carrying out the duties of the position. The person must be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills. This person requires superior customer service skills and must act professionally in providing service to the public. Working knowledge of refrigeration equipment, ice making procedures and application, operation and maintenance of ice resurfacing equipment is also required to fulfil the requirements of the position.

The hourly rate for this position will be $27.63 - $33.60 per hour based on a 42 hour work week.
