Half Load Restrictions

Half-load restrictions in the Township of Selwyn will begin Sunday, March 1, 2026.

To protect our road network during the spring thaw, half-load restrictions are implemented annually beginning March 1, in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act. These measures help prevent road damage when municipal roads are most vulnerable to heavy vehicle traffic. 

During this period, vehicles are limited to a maximum of 5 tonnes per axle, and truck and commercial transport access may be restricted in affected areas. 

Restrictions remain in effect until April 30, 2026, unless otherwise announced.

Route 33: Bridgenorth - Lakefield

Route Description and Planner

Route 33 operates on weekdays only. There is no service on statutory holidays.

Route 33 is direct service between Bridgenorth - Public Library and Trent University - Bata Library. It travels along Ward Street (County Road 18), Gore Street, Charles Street, Willcox Street, 8th Line (County Road 18), Centre Line (County Road 24), Carnegie Avenue, Water Street and Nassau Mills Road.
