Use Elections Ontario’s Voter Registration Service to confirm, update, add or remove your voter information for provincial and municipal elections, including School Board Trustee elections.
School support information is collected by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). To update your school support, use MPAC’s Online School Support Tool.

As mandated by the Province of Ontario, curbside recycling collection will no longer be provided for Non-Eligible Source (NES) properties.
Effective January 1, 2026, Non-Eligible Sources (NES) such as businesses, places of worship, municipal buildings, daycares, commercial farms, charities, campgrounds, and trailer parks will no longer receive curbside recycling collection.
Instead of blue box collection, these NES generators will be responsible for establishing and managing their own recycling.
Please note: Residential properties will continue to receive curbside recycling collection.
Peterborough County Economic Development and Tourism, together with each township, has been working collaboratively on an innovative new program to support local small businesses, strengthen tourism, and showcase the unique character of our communities. The result is The Kawarthas Quest - a fun and
engaging series of community-based experiences that will roll out across the County over the next few months. This app-based initiative will drive foot traffic into retail storefronts. Participants will use the Driftscape app or website to discover new locations and different activities across the County.
The very first adventure launches in partnership with the Township of Selwyn: the Lakefield Scavenger Hunt. This interactive event invites both residents and visitors to journey through downtown Lakefield, discover its vibrant small businesses, and experience the community in a whole new way. Built together by Selwyn Township and Peterborough County Economic Development, the Lakefield Scavenger Hunt sets the
stage for future adventures across the region.
The Ontario government is investing $931,750 to replace the floor at the Ennismore Community Centre. This investment is part of the province’s $200 million Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund (CSRIF), a provincewide initiative that helps communities revitalize local facilities, grow the economy and promote active, healthy living across Ontario.
The Township of Selwyn is pleased to announce that it has been awarded funding through Regional Tourism Organization 8's (RTO8) Partnership Funding Program to support the revitalization of its visitor information kiosks located in Bridgenorth, Ennismore, and Lakefield.
