Selwyn Public Library Invites Applications for the Position of Digital Literacy Assistant (Contract) 

The Selwyn Public Library is seeking two (2) Digital Literacy Assistants who will provide assistance and training to the public on the use of technology.  

The ideal candidates will be currently enrolled in post-secondary education with a sound knowledge of computers and various forms of technology. 

The individuals will provide individualized and group training to the public on the use of various forms of technology and/or Makerspace technology and deliver workshops on specialized topics. The individuals will also assist with the maintenance of social media applications in the library setting. 

The ideal candidates will possess superior interpersonal and customer service skills and must act professionally in providing service to the public and as a representative of the Library. 

This contract position will be in effect from November 28th, 2022 - March 31st, 2023. The present hourly wage range for this position is $22 /hour based on a 15 hour work week.
