Employment Opportunities

 Public Works Labourer

 The Township is seeking a Public Works Labourer who will provide a variety of general maintenance and construction services to municipal roads, properties, and facilities, such as patching and brushing, cutting grass and weeding.  This position will also support the year-round sidewalk maintenance program and perform winter maintenance duties for Township facilities.  

The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 education or equivalent and will hold a valid Class “D” driver’s license with “Z” endorsement.  Three years, previous related experience and knowledge of road construction maintenance activities and safety procedures is considered an asset. 

The person must be flexible, adaptable and show a demonstrated ability to work well within a team.   Preference may be shown to candidates with prior experience in a similar position within a public works department.

The person requires strong work ethic and customer service skills and must act professionally in providing service to the public and as a representative of the municipality. 

The salary range for this position will be $26.00 - $31.63 per hour based on a 42 hour work week.
