Water Main Flushing in Lakefield

Notice to Lakefield Residents

In order to sustain water quality in the water distribution system, the Peterborough Utilities Services once again intends to perform routine flushing of water mains throughout Lakefield.

The flushing will be conducted generally between Monday March 25, 2024 to Friday June 7, 2024 during anytime of the day or night.

If you should notice iron coloured water, please let your cold water tap closest to the source run for 20-30 minutes or until the water clears. If this does not resolve the water problem, please direct your questions and concerns to:
