Asset Management / Financial Services Assistant |
The Township is seeking an Asset Management / Financial Services Assistant who will act as a team leader in the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the Township asset management plan and records of assets in accordance with PSAB 3150. This position is also responsible for creating and maintaining the associated long-term financial plan as it pertains to multi-year budgeting, investments, development charges reporting, grants and debt management as well as assists with general finance responsibilities and will provide back-up for payables and receivables.
The ideal candidate will have a post secondary education or equivalent in a business or accounting related field with three years related experience. Candidates with experience working in an asset management role in a municipal government environment will be preferred.
This person will be expected to provide leadership, using initiative and good judgement in carrying out the duties of the position. The person must be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent knowledge in the use of personal computers and accounting systems, spreadsheets and word processing is also required to fulfil the requirements of the position.
The salary range for this position will be $27.00 - $32.84 per hour based on a 35 hour work week.

Facilities Attendant (Part-Time) |
The Township is seeking applications for the casual contract position of Facilities Attendant (Part-Time) who will operate and maintain equipment and perform general maintenance functions within the Township’s parks and recreation facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 education or equivalent. Related working experience in a municipal recreational facility environment is considered an asset. A Basic Refrigeration Certificate and an ORFA Certified Ice Technician (C.I.T.) designation is preferred. Candidates must hold a valid class “G” licence and propane handling certification.
This person will be expected to work in conjunction with other staff, representing the Township to the Facility patrons and general public, using initiative and good judgement in carrying out the duties of the position. The person must be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills. This person requires superior customer service skills and must act professionally in providing service to the public. Working knowledge of refrigeration equipment, ice making procedures and application, operation of ice resurfacing equipment is preferred to fulfil the requirements of the position.
While the hours of work are dependant upon the maintenance requirements, bookings and usage of the facilities, this position is expected to work between 18 - 24 hours per work week during the term of the contract.

Arena Attendant (Casual) |
The Township is seeking applicants for the contract position of Arena Attendant (Casual) who will, as required, be called upon to perform general custodial and general maintenance duties within the Township’s recreational facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and be available to work as required including late-evening and weekend hours to accommodate user groups. Candidates with prior experience working in an arena environment and/or working with the public in a customer service role will be preferred.
The individual will be expected to assist with the set-up/takedown and operation of facilities for functions, reception and event rentals. This position provides general and custodial maintenance within and surrounding the facilities including but not limited to cleaning stands, removing debris, mopping, cleaning dressing rooms, moving of nets for ice resurfacing etc.
The person requires the proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and must act professionally in providing service to the public and as a representative of the municipality.
The hours of this position will vary per week.
