Office Assistant - Summer (Contract)

The Township is seeking an Office Assistant – Summer who will, as a member of the Customer Service & Administrative Support Team, provide general clerical support for the Municipal Office and administrative assistance to the Community & Corporate Services/ Clerk’s Department and other Department Managers as required.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education or be enrolled in a related post-secondary program with equivalent experience. 

The individual will perform front counter reception duties and provide administrative support to the Manager of Community & Corporate Services/ Clerk, C.A.O., and other Department Managers, while using initiative and good judgment in carrying out the duties of the position.  The person must be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. A proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously is a must.

The person requires superior interpersonal and customer service skills and must act professionally in providing service to the public and as a representative of the municipality. 

The present hourly wage for this position is $14.97/ hour based on a 35 hour work week.

Municipal Heritage Committee

The Municipal Heritage Committee is a dynamic group that advises and assists Council in matters relating to heritage conservation districts, individual structures of historical and/or architectural significance, and the conservation of archaeological resources and cultural landscape features.

The Committee works to encourage and promote heritage conservation within the Township and assist property owners in undertaking appropriate conservation/preservation and maintenance practices. Does this sounds interesting to you, consider applying!
