Selwyn Township Council has declared May 11th as World Migratory Bird Day in Selwyn Township. This declaration will celebrate the birds we welcome back to our community at this time of year and help raise awareness of what we can do to better protect these animals and further our initiatives as a Nature Canada certified Bird Friendly "City".

The theme for this year’s World Migratory Bird Day is insects. This theme highlights how interconnected birds and insects are. As migratory birds pass through our community and some will even stay to breed, there are many easy things we can do to support them.
