Building By-law Review

Whereas Section 7 of the Building Code Act, S.O. 1992, C.23, as amended authorizes a municipal Council to pass By-laws respecting the issuance of permits and related matters; 

And Whereas Section 7 (6) (a) and 7 (6) (b) requires the Municipality to give notice of the proposed changes in fees and to hold a public meeting concerning the proposed changes;

Now Therefore the Township of Selwyn proposes to enact a By-law to change the fees for applications for a building permit and for the issuance of a permit at the regular Council meeting scheduled on February 27, 2024. The public meeting commences at 1:30 PM and will be held in the Council Chambers, 1310 Centre Line, Selwyn, ON.

Participation in the Public Meeting

Any person may attend the public meeting, either in-person or virtually, and make written and/or oral submissions either in support or opposition to the proposal. In order to make arrangements to attend the virtual meeting please contact the Clerk by email at achittick@selwyntownship.ca no later than 4:00 p.m. on the day prior to the scheduled public meeting. You will be given guidance and instructions on how to attend via Zoom. It is the responsibility of those interested in attending to have the technology in place to connect to the meeting.
